Woundclot Trauma is an 8x100 cm hemostatic mesh. Woundclot has been developed in Israel and can be used without the need for direct pressure on the wound. This makes Woundclot a very innovative product. Especially for the treatment of massive blood loss in the pre-hospital setting.
The medic quickly has his hands free to continue in his protocol. With other hemostatic gauges, 1 to a maximum of 6 minutes of direct pressure must be applied to the wound. With Woundclot, this is a thing of the past.
Woundclot is made from 100% biodegradable cellilose. Upon contact with blood, the structure of the mesh changes and forms a gelatinous membrane. This immediately reduces bleeding. After contact with the platelets, the membrane stabilizes by stopping the bleeding within a short time.
