H*vent chest seal duopack

The H * Vent is an occlusive hydrogel chest bandage that has a compact and low profile. The H * VENT System is designed to relieve pressure in an open chest wound caused by air in the chest cavity (pneumothorax) or body fluid (hemothorax). The unique H * VENT design makes it possible to discharge liquids in multiple directions, towards gravity. This makes it possible to transport the patient in different positions (on their side, etc.). This innovative system includes 6 individual vents meaning that even if some of them get blocked it will work as intended. A dome-shaped membrane provides a complete seal around the wound. This allows for easy visual inspection - the dome rises when air or fluid comes out of the chest, and is sucked down when the seal is in place. Internal tests have shown that the seal is retained during inhalation and that a continuous negative pressure (below ambient pressure) is maintained within the pleural space.
